The Downtown Development District provides detailed information regarding transportation options for getting around downtown.  You can view those options here, https://downtownbatonrouge.org/get-around/transportation

Accessibility

Handicapped parking is available in the front of the building. For ground level access to our elevator, please give us a call at 225-342-9778 for further instructions on entering the building. Strollers are welcome.

Service animals welcome

The Old Governor’s Mansion welcomes service dogs that are individually trained to perform a task or work for a person with a disability. All service dogs must be housebroken and leashed. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act and are therefore not allowed in the museum. We kindly request that you leave pets at home.
